Race Overview
The Warsaw Marathon (Maraton Warszawski) has been run in the Polish capital every year since 1979 and is the largest marathon in Central Europe. The course starts and finishes on Swietokrzyska Street beside the Palace of Culture and Science, crosses the Poniatowski Bridge, follows the Praga bank of the Vistula past the National Stadium, then returns over the Gdanski Bridge through Wola, Bemowo, Bielany and Zoliborz. The final kilometres run along Krakowskie Przedmiescie to the finish on Swietokrzyska. The race has a 6 hour 30 minute time limit and a 10K run starts on the same Sunday.
