Race Overview
The FTC Mary Andrews Marathon is held each January on the paved Gainesville-Hawthorne State Trail in Hawthorne, Florida, east of Gainesville. The marathon is four loops of a flat out-and-back, and a half marathon and four-person relay run on the same course. The course is USATF certified and a Boston qualifier. The marathon course records are 2:33 for men (Matt Taddeo) and 2:48 for women (Katie Nelson), both set in the first edition in 2021, and the field is capped at 215 runners.
