Race Overview
The Tacoma City Marathon is a point-to-point race held on the first weekend of May in Tacoma, Washington. The marathon and half marathon start at Tacoma Narrows Airport, cross the Narrows Bridge and run through Point Defiance Park before the half-mile descent of the Wilson Way Bridge to Commencement Bay. The marathon continues along the Thea Foss Waterway Esplanade, turns around near the Museum of Glass and both distances finish at Dune Peninsula Park. The marathon course is USATF certified and a Boston qualifier.
