Race Overview
The Redding Marathon is a point-to-point Boston qualifier in Redding, California, run on a Sunday in January. It starts at Shasta Dam in Shasta Lake and follows the paved Sacramento River Trail to Keswick, climbs into Old Shasta between miles 10 and 18 and drops back to the river trail, then crosses the Diestelhorst Bridge and finishes at the Sundial Bridge. A three-person relay with legs of 9.7, 10.3 and 6.2 miles and a Sundial 5K run the same morning, put on by the SWEAT Running Club.
