Potomac River Run Marathon (Fall)

The Potomac River Run Marathon (Fall) is a marathon and half marathon held each October in Washington, DC, organized by the Safety And Health Foundation. Both distances start and finish at Fletcher's Cove on the C&O Canal Towpath, running out and back along the flat, unpaved canal path toward Carderock, Maryland, with the half marathon turning around near Towpath mile 9.65. The race is USATF-certified and serves as a Boston Marathon qualifier, and it is run in memory of Dean Shulman and Wendy Martinez. It is capped at 350 entrants and is the third leg of the Safety And Health Foundation's annual Grand Prix series.
