Race Overview
The Old Forge Marathon Weekend takes place each September in Old Forge, New York, a gateway community on the western edge of Adirondack Park. The marathon and half marathon run mostly on gravel and dirt bike trails between Old Forge and Eagle Bay, with rolling hills and fall foliage typically near peak color. The marathon is a Boston Marathon qualifier and draws a small field, with 81 finishers in 2025. Proceeds benefit the Old Forge High School Key Club and other local organizations.
