Nagoya Women's Marathon

The Nagoya Women's Marathon is a women's-only marathon held each March in Nagoya, Japan, starting and finishing at Vantelin Dome Nagoya. Guinness World Records recognizes it as the world's largest women's-only marathon, drawing roughly 20,000 women in the mass field alongside an elite field that regularly includes Olympic and World Championship medalists. It holds World Athletics Platinum Label status, the sport's highest road-race classification, and offers a seven-hour time limit. The race began in 1980 as a 20K event in Toyohashi, moved to Nagoya in 1982, became a full marathon in 1984, and ran as the Nagoya International Women's Marathon through 2010, relaunching as the Nagoya Women's Marathon in 2012 with a redesigned, mass-participation course.
