Race Overview
Half Marathon-by-the-Sea is a USATF-certified 13.1-mile road race held each September in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts, on the North Shore. The course starts and finishes at Manchester Essex Regional High School and runs through the town's historic downtown before passing freshwater lakes in neighboring Hamilton. The race has run in-person since at least 2014, aside from a virtual-only 2020 edition, with a field capped at 750 runners.
