Race Overview
The Chennai Marathon is held in Chennai, India, on a Sunday in early January and is organised by the Chennai Runners club. The full marathon starts in the dark at Napier Bridge beside Marina Beach and runs south along the coast past Elliot's Beach and down East Coast Road to a finish at the Indian Maritime University in Uthandi. The course is AIMS-certified, and the race also offers a half marathon, a twenty miler and a 10K.
