It is where the women’s 8K record still holds and where the men’s has been set multiple times. This year proved to be no different, with the top three men all running sub 23 minutes.
Clayton Young Wins Crazy 8s 8K Men’s Race
The 30 year old from Utah, Clayton Young closed the final 200m to take the win by just 4 seconds over Andrew Colley of North Carolina. Isai Rodriguez of Oklahoma took third. The winning time was 22:45.
Emma Russum Wins the Women’s Race
Emma Russum (Chattanooga, TN) won with a time of 31:02, 10 seconds ahead of second place, Hannah Caudill (Asheville, NC). Hannah McEntire (Charlotte, NC) came in third 20 seconds behind Caudill.
